The XPG SX6000 Lite is a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, launched on December 18th, 2018. It is available in capacities ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. This page reports specifications for the 512 GB variant. With the rest of the system, the XPG SX6000 Lite interfaces using a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the RTS5763DL from Realtek, a DRAM cache is not available. XPG has installed 64-layer TLC NAND flash on the SX6000 Lite, the flash chips are made by Micron. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are processed more quickly. The cache is sized at 180 GB, once it is full, writes complete at 100 MB/s. The SX6000 Lite is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 1,800 MB/s and 1,200 MB/s write; random IOPS reach up to 180K for reads and 200K for writes.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 100 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. XPG guarantees an endurance rating of 240 TBW, a relatively low value compared to other SSDs.
